Deals on new furniture?

We are getting ready to purchase new living room furniture (thanks Pres Bush!) -- anyone have suggestions/recommendations on the best stores to look? Any great deals going on right now?

Depending on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend, Furnitureland South in High Point might be worth considering.

They have an ENORMOUS clearance building (about as big as 2 Best Buys) with ridiculously expensive furniture at the front, more normal priced stuff toward the rear. We bought a red couch, over-sized chair and ottomon with microfiber fabric (the really soft stuff) and exposed turned legs for our family room from there for $1200. We picked it up ourselves by renting a van which ended up being the same price as them delivering ($50) but we got it sooner and we didn't want to wait for them.

If you find something you like at a dept store, get the info (maker and model) and call FLS, they ALWAYS have a better price (even with sales, new in-store credit card purchase, etc.) and shipping is cheap. We live in Ohio now and they deliver all the way up here for only $50!
