Organically Grown Produce @ State Farmer's Market Raleigh?

Postby Carolina Momma » Tue Jan 12, 2010 4:43 pm

Does anyone know if there are any farms at the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh that sell organically-grown, fresh produce? I usually shop for fresh produce at Midtown (North Hills) but it's closed for the winter. And North Raleigh (Durant Road) has been very hit and miss for me (maybe the holidays/weather have been keeping farmers away?). I've been getting grass-fed and pastured meats & eggs and local honey from the State Farmer's Market. But have avoided buying produce because I've assumed its conventionally-grown. I would rather give my money to local farmers than Whole Foods. But organic/organically-grown is key for our family.
