Good German spaghetti recipe

Postby savemom » Wed Jan 06, 2010 1:12 pm

I thought I would post this since I know there were lots of bacon, ketchup, soup and pasta specials recently. It is delicious, and is even better as leftovers!

2 lbs bacon, diced
2 large green peppers, diced
1 med/large onion, diced
2 lbs thin spaghetti
2 large + 1 small can tomato soup
Ketchup to taste

Cook spaghetti according to directions. Brown bacon, add green pepper and onion and saute. Warm up the soup in a large stock pot. Add bacon mixture. Add spaghetti, a little bit at a time stirring after each addition. Add ketchup to taste.

Ingredients:

1 lb bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (26 ounce) can tomato soup
1 (14 ounce) can tomato soup
1 lb spaghetti

Directions:

Cook noodles to package instructions.
Cut bacon into small pieces leaving some fat.
Fry bacon. Add onion.
Cook together until onions are translucent.Drain excess fat.
Add both cans of tomato soup adding half a can of water to thin mixture. (I use the small can to measure out half the water.).
Once noodles are drained add to the sauce mixture.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving to thicken.
