why pay 1.75 when you get these for 0.99 or 0.50 on most of the local stores.

I was actually able to pick up one of the bags for free at Lowes Foods (Preston Corners) with purchase of 3 Kelloggs cereals (which I was buying anyway).

I've gotten some for free at certain stores but for the most part I've found dollar stores have them really cheap. Also check the stores you visit to see if they offer a discount for using reusable bags. I've found in my travels, that there are some grocery and drug stores that offer discounts and free coupons sometimes.
